Educational Philosophy

‘Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6).

LifePoint Academy believes that each student is unique and a special gift from God. It is our vision to educate each student in Biblical principles so they can become servant leaders who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We further desire to see each student demonstrate Godly character and stewardship and to think and act Biblically at all times.

In order to accomplish our goal LifePoint Academy has daily Bible devotionals that inspire students. Students are encouraged to rise above their mistakes and reach for their greatest potential in God. Bible lessons are taught in an engaging atmosphere with games, interaction, short videos, discussion, and ideas on how to implement the Bible into the situations they face.

Each student learns at a different pace. Therefore, LifePoint Academy has partnered with Ignitia Schools through Alpha Omega. Each student is challenged to learn on a daily basis. Students are able to move through the curriculum once they grasp the components in a subject lesson. They are given positive feedback through teacher notes, report cards, student of the month, and certificates for achievements.

Our society moves through advancements in technology. Therefore, we feel it is important for our students to have a working knowledge of computers. Each student learns to type, use Word and to take advantage of the positive information on the internet. However, at no time are students given full opportunity to “surf the web”. Each student needs to be guided to legitimate websites for research, information and education. It is important to LifePoint Academy that students know how to appropriately use the internet and all of its sources and also have an understanding of the determinate going on inappropriate sites can cause.

Each student is an important part of LifePoint Academy. Therefore, they are to be given every opportunity to succeed Biblically, academically and technologically. Courses are available through online technology to help every student pursue their interests. We strive to provide opportunities where each student will enjoy learning and ultimately become prepared for life and higher education. It is our responsibility to educate our future.
